Mulch / Soil

The difference between mulch and soil is central to creating a healthy and productive garden. Mulch acts as a protective cover, helping to conserve moisture, regulate temperature, and suppress weeds, while soil serves as the essential medium where roots develop, absorb nutrients, and anchor plants.

At Green Corner Nursery, we have the soil and mulch solutions you need to round out the perfect garden or landscape project.  Stop in or call today to find out about our varieties and options.

Soil

Screened Topsoil:  Our topsoil is screened and has organic matter added. Perfect for patching up old lawns and reseeding new ones. Great for raised beds and vegetable gardens.

Fill Dirt:  This material has been sifted to remove large debris, rocks, and organic matter, resulting in a finer, more consistent texture. It is suitable for projects requiring a smoother finish, such as a base layer for a lawn or hardscaping, before adding topsoil.

Our Mulch

Mulch is used to improve soil health, conserve water, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature, leading to healthier plants, less work, and better-looking gardens by creating a protective layer that reduces evaporation, blocks sunlight from weeds, insulates roots from temperature extremes, and adds nutrients as it breaks down.

We have brown and black mulch available to purchase by the bag or in bulk.  You can stop in to pick up or we can deliver.
